1. Low brightness:




The reason why the brightness does not reach the expected target can be analyzed from two aspects: the production process of special aluminum and the chemical polishing process.

It is recommended to produce special aluminum ingots with purity of 99.70% or above.

The quality control in aluminum processing lays a foundation for chemical polishing to obtain high brightness surface.

After chemical polishing, it has a high gloss.




The lack of nitric acid content in the bath solution will lead to insufficient surface brightness. Too much copper may be attached to the surface, and too much nitric acid content will form colorful iris on the surface of aluminum, which will make the surface obscure or opaque, and also lead to insufficient brightness.

Chemical polishing time is not enough, temperature is not enough, stirring is not enough, tank aging will also make the chemical polishing surface brightness is not enough.

The relative density of the tank liquid is relatively high, which prevents aluminum from stacking the polishing tank liquid level, resulting in insufficient brightness of the upper aluminum material.

The effect of water leads to a lack of brightness, which is often overlooked.

Dry aluminum is best used in chemical polishing bath fluids to prevent moisture from being introduced.




2. White attachments:




The morphology of the defect is a layer of white sediment on the chemically polished aluminum surface, the distribution of the defect is uneven, and the surface of the aluminum material at the base of the attachment may be corroded.

Usually, the defect is caused by a large amount of aluminum dissolved in a solution of chemical polishing bath.

Further confirmation can be made if the relative density of the solution is higher than 1.80.

Measures should be taken to adjust the amount of aluminum dissolved in the tank to the normal range.
